The Urgent Care team at Kettering General Hospital are seeking an individual with strong administrative and organisational skills to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Frailty Team, Practice Development team, and A&E Research team within the Urgent Care directorate.

The post holder must be able to communicate sensitively and effectively with a wide range of clinical and nursing colleagues whilst working in a busy environment.

This is a varied and interesting role; the post holder will need to be self-motivated and demonstrate excellent time management and prioritisation skills to support across multiple areas.

This position is for 30 hours per week, and will be for a fixed term period of 12 months initially. Hours to be worked Monday - Friday.

Provide administrative support to teams within the Urgent care directorate using a high level of initiative, knowledge, tact, diplomacy, and effective communication.

Have the ability to interact appropriately and effectively with all levels of management and staff, ensuring a high level of confidentiality is always maintained.

Competent in the use of computers with particular emphasis on Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Planning, organisation and prioritisation of workload, working independently and as part of a team.

Maintain high quality standards by ensuring that the data entered onto Trust systems is accurate, complete and up to date.

Comply with the principles of risk management including health and safety legislation, promoting high standards and acting immediately on hazards or unsafe practices in conjunction with other staff.

To provide complete administrative support including word processing, data entry, filing, photocopying, maintaining diaries, opening post and dealing with correspondence using own initiative where appropriate.

Responsible for the organisation of meetings as directed by the teams, liaising and communicating across various departments and the multi-disciplinary team, both internally and externally. Resolve conflicting diary appointments and schedules. Compile and circulate agendas, record, type and distribute minutes of meetings as required within agreed timescales and according to Trust protocols.

To act as a point of communication for the team, and deal with telephone enquiries, liaising with internal and external sources to resolve any problems, queries or complaints using own initiative/judgement to action accordingly.

Any other duties commensurate with the grade and in line with the requirement of the post
