The Digital Directorate delivers cross-cutting digital components and services which support delivery across CDP. This aims to achieve a shared vision of a modern, digital and collaborative organisation.

The core business operation of CDP is using data on climate, water and forest sustainability disclosed by companies, organisations, cities, states and regions globally to drive awareness and action to improve the way society impacts the environment.

The Associate Product Owner will be responsible for managing and improving some of our suite of bespoke data products, working closely with software engineers, data scientists, data engineers, QAs, designers, as well as with a wide group of stakeholders across the organisation to analyse business needs, build a roadmap for our bespoke data product offering, and work with squads to deliver.

**Key responsibilities** **include**:

- Manage the full lifecycle of bespoke data products, including project planning, execution, and monitoring, ensuring adherence to time-lines and budgets.
- Work collaboratively between departments and technical teams, translating business requirements into well-understood technical specifications through to feature delivery.
- Analyse business needs, identify pain points, and develop a data product roadmap with well maintained backlog aligned with internal goals and objectives.
- Prioritise conflicting business needs and plan work increments accordingly
- Understand complex business needs and their impact across multiple functions
- Work effectively with change management to roll out changes
- Review and make recommendations for consolidating or removing data products and conduct analysis to identify areas for optimization and improvement of bespoke data products
- Drive adoption of the bespoke data product features among key stakeholders, by coordinating launch communication, conducting training sessions, providing ongoing support, and promoting its benefits.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in product and data provisioning, and recommend innovative solutions to improve user experience and system efficiency.
- Understand agile software development lifecycle and help the business mature in their understanding and implementation on this methodology and approach

**You will have the following skills and experience**:
**Essential criteria**:

- Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role within a Product-led organisation, with a focus on data provisioning and using Scrum or agile methodologies
- Ability to translate internal and external customer needs into business requirements and technology/data capabilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage expectations and work effectively with in-house employees from various functions, as well as technical teams.
- Project management experience, with the ability to manage projects from end-to-end, ensuring on-time delivery, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Ability to drive user adoption and provide training and support.
- Knowledge, interest, and passion for the environmental and / or sustainability space will be an advantage
- The ability to work under pressure to meet challenging deadlines.
- A positive and enthusiastic team player with a high level of self-motivation and drive, committed to achieving high standards
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English

**Desirable criteria**
- Familiarity with industry best practices and trends in data provisioning.
- Experience working with charities, NGOs, or similar organisations preferred
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Azure DevOps, Dynamics365
- An interest in working for an environmental NGO and an understanding of and desire to promote corporate and sub-national government sustainability

**Benefits**

This full-time, permanent role will be based in the CDP London office with some flexibility to work remotely and reports directly to the Data Products Portfolio Owner

£45,538 - £50,000 per annum based on experience, annual discretionary bonus, 30 days holiday, generous non-contributory pension provision after 3 months employment (pro-rated to term of contract).
