The Product team are responsible for creating and building a world class cross-border payments solution, supporting a portfolio of products, and delivering value to customers.
As a Product Owner you will work closely with the Product Manager and Agile Team to deliver the functionality and associated user experience of the product, from definition to implementation, through to optimisation.
You will help with the delivery of the Product data strategy, improving the analytical capabilities for both internal and external stakeholders.
You will take the high-level data requirements from stakeholders and prioritise them to deliver features that bring business value.
You will ensure that prioritisation is carried through to delivery, working with the agile teams to identify dependencies and blockers to ensure that decisions made align with the product data vision and deliver business value.
You will translate the business objectives into clearly articulated features, ensuring that the business objectives are understood by all teams at every stage of the development.
**What we expect of you, day to day.**
This role will report to the Product Manager and be responsible for turning the product data vision, strategy, and design into reality. This role requires an experienced Product Owner with data experience and a proven ability to deliver:
**Drive end-to-end product lifecycle, from feature creation through launch and growth**
- Work with the Product Manager, Internal and External stakeholders to understand and translate business objectives, priorities, and requirements.
- Work cross functionally with multiple teams across the organisation to ensure alignment and address dependencies.
- Decompose of epics into features to drive product improvement and enhancements.
- Prioritise team backlog, ensuring it aligns with business objectives.
- Attend and participate in Agile team ceremonies.
**SME in Your Functional Area**
- Become the Subject Matter Expert for your functional area, acting as main point of contact for any questions from internal and external stakeholders.
- Support training, documentation, and implementation activities for data related Product initiatives.
- Run ideation sessions and workshops with internal stakeholders to determine their data needs.
- This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs._
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience
- Experience as a Product Owner or data-oriented role in an agile team
- Knowledge of database technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server, Hadoop, and Elasticsearch.
- Knowledge of data visualisation technologies such as Power BI, MicroStrategy, and Tableau.
- Knowledge of AI and Machine Learning technologies.
- Strong analytical mindset and successful track record of working with cross-functional teams
- Self-starter, with ability to work independently, prioritise workload to meet deadlines and works well under pressure.
- Results orientated mindset with commitment to achieving goals, overcoming obstacles, and integrating changes into work processes
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between business and technical teams.
- Great attention to detail.
- Open to feedback, able to deal with ambiguity and juggle multiple projects
- Working experience in using Jira, and Jira Align
- Knowledge and experience using Agile methodology
- Able to work and manage scrum teams that are geographically dispersed and across time zones
- User centric approach with experience delivering product features
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders at varying levels of seniority using a collaborative approach.
