Business Services Associate
- Based in our Chelmsford or Ipswich office with agile working, the purpose of this role is to provide efficient, high quality support to internal and external customers and working partners. The Support Services team handles client setup, renewal, liaison, administration and reporting working alongside key areas of the organisation._
**Primary Responsibilities**:
- To assist in new and renewed set-up of clients using in-house systems
- To oversee the set up and maintenance of client organisational charts (pyramids) using Excel spreadsheets.
- To deliver in-house system training to internal and external parties
- To be involved in the design and delivery of new client reports
- To influence and establish best practice within the Support Services team and wider division.
- To handle complex queries from internal and external parties
- To provide assistance in other areas of the Company’s business as may be required
- To play a key role in ensuring that service level agreements are met
- Participate as required in team, division and wider company projects and initiatives i.e. Quality and Service Excellence
- Comply with all Gallagher Bassett and office procedures
- Any other duties as required by Gallagher Bassett
**Essential Skills**:
- Microsoft Excel to an intermediate level
- Moderate understanding and knowledge of general insurance and underlying legal principles (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to prioritise and organise own workload to ensure that deadlines are adhered to
- Ability to work under pressure and without supervision
- Ability to liaise with colleagues, working as a team
- Ability to develop and sustain relationships with both internal and external customers
- Ability to construct effective written communications, including letters and reports. Capable and confident written English skills
- Confident and effective telephone skills
- Confident numeracy skills
- Good attention to detail
