**Job Purpose**
- To work as a member of the Trust Inclusion team under the direction and supervision of the Trust Director of SEND
- To assist with the leading of the provision for students with an EHCP, and the associated statutory processes / expectations
- To ensure the best possible outcomes for all SEND students.
- To undertake ‘specified work’ and provide care, supervision and emotional well-being for students using high level experience of SEND knowledge
- To support and co-ordinate any testing / personalised learning and the development of students through referrals to specialist external agencies

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**

**Key Duties**

To lead on best practice in provision for all SEND students within the Trust
- Ensure compliance and provision for any student with an EHCP. Prepare, organise, liaise with relevant Local Authority (Worcestershire, Birmingham, Sandwell, Dudley, Walsall or Wolverhampton), and liaise with case workers
- Collating information to evidence graduated response
- Arranging meetings between parents and SEN staff
- Attending and taking minutes at EHCP review meetings
- Ensure records for students with special or additional needs and disabilities are kept accurately
- Help to implement / type updates for the SEND policy / Information Reports.
- Help update information management systems following identification of learning needs
- Help to maintain the SEND register in liaison / regular communication with each school’s SENCo.
- To liaise with parents/carers and appropriate professionals to support identified students
- Assist with the writing and updating of SEND student profiles / passports.
- Input costed interventions onto the provision mapping software as required
- Input progress of SEND students using all available data and evidence.
- Ensure post 16 / post 18 preparation for adulthood destinations are recorded of all SEND students
- Keep up to date with the SEND landscape and changing legislative documents.
- Assist with times of new intake and transitions, and school visit events as required
- To participate in school meetings, supervising and planning meetings and training events as requested
- Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety and security, confidentiality, and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person
- To maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities and encourage and support staff in their development and training.
- To undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required, and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this job.
- To undertake health and safety duties commensurate with the post and/or as detailed in the School’s Health and Safety Policy.
- To participate in the school’s emergency response arrangements as directed by the designated officer
