**Role**: Head of Operations

**Location**: Manchester

**Salary**: up to £65k

Our client is a hugely experienced events agency in Manchester who have taken the industry by storm, with a client list that reads like a who’s who of the North West’s most successful businesses,

**The Role**:
The Head of Operations assumes overall responsibility for events and ensures operational requirements of the events are followed. You will be organised, resourceful, and possess excellent resource management skills to support and troubleshoot the team's daily operations.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- ** Event Design**:

- Overseeing all creative proposals within the events team with attention to existing clients but also new business. Ensuring that the senior leadership team are kept in communication particularly over the larger projects.
- **Budgets & Profits**:

- Ensuring all client invoices are paid in full and all suppliers to be costed accurately and negotiated with and team hours are logged. Robust and thorough budget management throughout project life cycles, monitoring hours and supplier costs to ensure all budgets remain on track throughout. Approval of supplier POs and expenses
- **Event Plans**:

- Cross checking of all event plans to see if there has been adequate time management; enough staff for each job and a clear direction for each person working. Ensuring all the relevant Health and Safety documentation and supplier documentations has been gathered for each event
- **On-Site**:

- Ensuring the correct staffing levels on site for each event and management of all suppliers. Onsite attendance at live events to provide strategic and operational oversight, ensuring service and quality levels are met and client expectations exceeded.
- **Account Management**:

- Focusing on account development to cross-sell, up-sell, and network with our clients to develop their accounts and grow the business through our various service offerings
- **Suppliers**:

- Building relationships with key suppliers to get preferred rates and support. Ensuring the team are adding correct mark ups and negotiating at point of contract
- **Recruitment & Training**:

- Responsibility for team recruitment, resource planning, training, development, inductions, mentoring, and motivation working with the Head of Events. Working with Head of Events to implement and measure relevant training and development plans for the team alongside KPI’s. Quarterly PDPs.

**What you’ll bring**:

- Five or more years of event agency experience
- Comfortable speaking at events, attending networking events and acting as a face of the agency; generating new enquiries and contacts
- Evidence of commercial results and previous accountability for P&L
- Experience of both UK and international event and service delivery
- Extensive experience at resource and project planning with team
- Can demonstrate lateral, analytical, creative, and strategic thinking
- Current driving licence and ability to travel around the UK & overseas.
- Flexible approach to working hours as live events may take place over evenings and/or weekends
