The role will be based at Weston General Hospital, and will support the provision of general anaesthesia services for a variety of specialties, including Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, Trauma & Orthopaedics, Gynaecology and Urology. There may be opportunity to work across sites; however applicants should expect the majority of work to focus on Weston. In addition to daytime sessions, the appointee will participate in weekend on-call rota (1:6) and in the evening session (approx. 1:10) covering emergency operations until 20:00 every day. The Department of Anaesthesia supports the pre-operative assessment service, the appointee will contribute to this area. As UHBW is a teaching Trust with close links to the University of Bristol; the appointee will be committed to delivering excellent teaching and training.
