We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join and lead our administrative team supporting clinical services in the Inpatient services and Reception Area at Swallownest Court, Rotherham who want to participate and contribute to achieving excellent quality of care for our patients. In return for this commitment, we will support and develop your potential and skills through regular supervision and development in this busy role within our friendly Trust.

The Inpatient services admin team cover the clinical services of 3 Inpatient Wards, Ward Clerk, Medical and Management Secretary Support and Reception Staff at the largest site in Rotherham and this role involves coordination and management of the administration team covering these services to ensure effective and efficient administration. The role also includes line management of Ward Clerks, Management Secretary and Reception Staff at The Woodlands Inpatient unit behind Rotherham District General Hospital.

Successful applicants will display and maintain high levels of customer service at all times, ensuring all patients have a positive experience at their point of contact. Previous experience of managing staff and implementing employee policies would be advantageous. Successful applicants will possess 5 GCSE’s including Grade C or above in English and Mathematics, NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or hold equivalent qualifications. They must have an experience working in an office or healthcare environment and be able to use standard Microsoft software packages and Outlook.

There may, at times, be a need to travel between various locations. It would be an advantage if the successful applicant has access to transport and the ability to travel within the required geographical area.
