**The Company**

With over 30 years’ experience of working with small owner-managed businesses to multi-site organisations, including healthcare providers, residential care homes, retailers, professional service clients, schools, and manufacturers. They work with both new and legacy systems.

Our client provides practical advice and guidance for our clients and offer a one-stop shop for all those networked services that use Ethernet or LAN cable (Cat 5 or above) to carry voice, video images or data between devices.

They install cabling and set up access points, set up Wi-Fi networks, advise on the best telephone systems both physical and cloud-based for their clients. They are an LG-Ericcson specialist.

Our client also installs CCTV and door-access controls integrated with other systems, to enhance security, and offer smart technology solutions to their clients. Their helpdesk offers advice and remote support for their clients, overseen by their MD, backed up by on site services from their network of experienced engineers.

**The Position**

**Job Title**:
Technical Support Helpdesk Apprentice

**Apprenticeship Course**:
Level 3 Information Communication

**Apprenticeship Duration**:
12-15 months (including EPA)

**Working Hours**:
Monday to Friday 9am till 5.00pm

**Salary**:
£12,000 pa

**Role and Responsibilities**
- Establishing and Maintaining communication systems under supervision.
- Ordering and configuring new handsets, routers, and other hardware.
- Install telephone hardware and software ensuring security principles are adhered to
- Placing orders for SIPPs, broadband, line migrations and number ports with our suppliers.
- Manage the migration of services and liaise between the service providers and the client
- Setting up new clients on a cloud portal.
- Investigate, diagnose and resolve faults.
- Attending customer and engineer sit visits as required.
- Update the CRM system (Hubspot) with client and system details.
- Liaising with engineers and booking in jobs with customers and managing outcomes.
- Preparing documents by inputting data and creating spreadsheets
- Dealing with office maintenance
- Anything else that arises.

**Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge**:
Are you technically savvy and enjoy working with people?

We are looking for someone with ‘something about them’ to join the support team, which is led by our MD, an experienced telecoms engineer.

You will need to be a people person with the confidence to talk to customers on the telephone and have the self-belief to work off your own initiative. You will need strong admin skills as you will be placing orders through web portals and on paper-based systems and following up with suppliers and liaising with our network of engineers. You will be organised. Have good IT skills and be proficient in word & excel.

**Essential: GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English**

As a member of a small team you will be required to muck in and do whatever is required.
