**The Opportunity**:
Support the operational activities of a suite of Archaeology research and teaching laboratories to provide a full service for staff and external research activities and the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate practical taught courses and student research projects. As part of a two-person team, the post-holder will contribute to the day-to-day safe, effective operation and usage of the Archaeology laboratories, providing technical guidance, supervision and training to laboratory users. The post-holder ensures compliant and effective health and safety practices, supporting lab activities, maintenance of equipment and order of supplies.
**Your skills and attributes for success**:
- Good knowledge of one or more relevant lab techniques and methods
- A clear understanding of procedures relating to Health and Safety legislation and practice in laboratory conditions.
- A good understanding of COSHH regulations and risk assessment (lab and fieldwork).
- Good planning, prioritisation skills and time-management skills. A flexible, proactive approach to work with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
