Applications are invited for an Administrator based at Hull York Medical School (HYMS) and working with the Institute of Mental Health Research at York (IMRY), under the management of Professor Lina Gega, Director of IMRY.

IMRY brings together the mental health work across 30 departments, schools and offices at the University of York, whose aim is to improve the lives and care of those who are most vulnerable due to mental health problems, and to understand and protect mental health for all. HYMS brings together the strengths of the Universities of Hull and York in the life, clinical, health and social sciences, and builds on their strong partnerships with NHS Trusts and authorities regionally and nationally.

We are seeking to make an appointment for 1 year to support IMRY’s Director in organising and supporting meetings, seminars, events and visits, to manage IMRY’s website and social media, to produce creative marketing and public facing materials, and to act as the central point of contact for IMRY’s interactions with researchers within York and also with external partners.

The post-holder will work with the Comms team at HYMS to help create, update and customise content relevant to mental health for the School’s research webpages, ensuring timeliness, continuity and consistency of communications across IMRY, HYMS, the Department of Health Sciences and the wider University.

The post requires experience and familiarity with organising and capturing meetings and events, creating website content and using online and social media. The post-holder will have experience in producing reports, evidence briefings, marketing materials and creative outputs for research, preferably relevant to mental health, and be able to disseminate information in an appropriate language, tone and context for different audiences including academics, professionals and lay people.

**Role**:
To offer administrative assistance to the IMRY Director, to plan, coordinate and support IMRY’s administrative and engagement activities, and to liaise with communications teams at HYMS and the wider University.

**Skills, Experience & Qualification needed**:

- Able to communicate effectively and professionally with stakeholders from academia, the public sector, the industry and patient and public representatives.
- Experience in developing website content and using online and social media for research dissemination and knowledge exchange.
- Able to work to tight deadlines, to handle multiple projects and operational duties simultaneously, and to balance and prioritise workload.
- Able to communicate information about mental health in an appropriate language, tone and context for different audiences including academics, professionals and lay people.
- Experience in producing reports, evidence briefings, marketing materials and creative outputs related to mental health research.
- Level 3 qualification or equivalent professional experience.
- Manage small-scale projects
- Gather, analyse, interpret and report data/information
