**Key Requirements**:

- A post-graduate degree in medical statistics, statistics, epidemiology, health economics, econometrics, mathematics, or a similar related quantitative discipline
- Ability to communicate new and complex information effectively to a non-technical audience, both verbally and in writing
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy and a commitment to high quality
- Experience in using statistical software packages (R, STATA, SAS, and WinBUGS)
- Experience of working with patient-level data or large individual-level data sets
- Ability to implement survival analysis, generalised linear models, multilevel models and to draw inference between parameters and clinical endpoints
- Ability to lead and/or take responsibility for a small research project or identified parts of a large project
- Ability to plan and prioritise own work in order to meet deadlines
- Enthusiasm and a commitment to team working
