Senior Strategic Purchaser
- We are looking for a Senior Strategic Purchaser with the ability to work in an international environment with a broad portfolio with products and services in the military market. Our business is growing, and we are looking for an experienced StrategicPurchasers to strengthen our Procurement organization. Are you a team player able to evaluate, negotiate and communicate with both internal and external stakeholders in order to develop an effective supplier base, then you might be the one we are looking for._

**Your role**

As a Senior Strategic Purchaser at Saab Surveillance you work with business, projects, and relations linked to Surveillance’ products with primary focus on the Supplier base in UK. You will work in close collaboration with the procurement department at Surveillanceoffice in Sweden, handling business relations with several UK-based strategic suppliers with focus on their long term commitment to Saab. This position will be based out of our office in Farnborough with flexibility for hybrid working available.

You will be responsible for procurement activities in both new and existing projects in close collaboration with the technical and engineering teams of Saab Surveillance. As part of the role you can also act as project leader for the sourcing team as partof larger projects. You are also expected to initiate and drive the continuous development within your scope of responsibility.
As a Senior Strategic Purchaser, you will build a large professional network with our supplier and within our own organization. You will also play an important role in collaboration with the Swedish organization to identify new suppliers in UK.

**Your profile**

You have commercial experience and solid knowledge of strategic business relationships. You are committed and engaged, and your work is structured, thorough, and shows business acumen. You have great ability to build lasting, long-term relations with suppliersand our internal customers. It is important that you find it easy and enjoyable to collaborate, both with co-workers and with suppliers, and that you are persistent and persevering. You have an MBA, a M.Sc. in engineering, an LL.M. or an equivalent documentededucation. You are proficient in both written and spoken English. Familiarity with additional languages or international experience are both considered as advantages.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

Procurement Surveillance is responsible for external procurement and sourcing for Surveillance products. We work in a highly international environment where the majority of our suppliers are foreign. A professional sourcing operation with developed businessrelations with our suppliers is crucial for the sustainability and profitability of Saab and our products. Our success depends on the ability of Procurement to build professional and integrated relations with our suppliers. The Saab Surveillance Procurementorganisation in Sweden consist of strategic and operative purchasers as well as Supplier Quality Managers, which are organised in category teams. You will be governed by and reporting to the Head of Category Management in Sweden, but you will also work inclose cooperation with the team at Saab UK which is located in London.
