A great opportunity for a driven procurement professional to join a leading organisation as a Senior Buyer, to be ensuring that products and services are supplied at the best value to the business. The role will involve supplier management and negotiatingcontracts to reduce commercial risk.

**Key Responsibilities of the Senior Buyer;**
- Negotiate, review and reconcile sub-contractor packages, flow down terms and programme requirements through the tender process.
- Produce procurement programmes and ensure these are adhered to in order to provide timely information to internal customers.
- Ensure all sub-contractors have had the required information to enable them to provide timely quotations that are compliant.
- Support the Commercial Team in value engineering specific projects and assisting with sub-contract enquiries at tender stage.
- Delivery of cost savings and cost reduction innovations.
- Measure & review performance and implement continuous improvement.
- Evaluate supplier responses, negotiate with suppliers and place orders in line with company procedures.
- Focus on delivering added value through technical competence, functional knowledge and process efficiency.
- Ensure all documentation is collated and stored in line with company policies.

**Personal Specification of the Senior Buyer;**
- Proven Procurement experience.
- Experience within a Manufacturing / Engineering environment.
- Knowledge of Contract Terms & Conditions.
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills.
- Good working knowledge of SAP / MRP.
- Driven and flexible attitude.

This role would also suit you if you have held a role as a Buyer, Senior Buyer, Purchasing Controller, Purchasing Officer or Commercial Officer.
