Accounts Assistant | Insurance | Gibraltar | Salary c£25 -30k plus benefits, flexi and summer hours

Accounts Assistant required for an established International Financial Services company based in Gibraltar. You will be supporting the Finance teams by processing payments and keeping bank reconciliations up to date. Strong attention to detail is required to ensure no payment is lost in the process. Please note you are required to speak Maltese as well as English for this Accounts Assistant role.

**What you'll be doing**:
Close collaboration with other departments within the Company.

Perform other duties as may be reasonably required by Senior Management locally or by Group.

Performing weekly bank reconciliations on the finance system, ensuring that no amount is left unallocated for more than 3 months.

Preparing a reconciliation of claims paid and recovered in the bank, against the finance system.

Recording monies received from clients, brokers and Insurers.

Ensuring that deposits are made, recorded, reconciled in the daily cash sheet, and recorded on the finance system.

Assisting in the preparation of all annual financial statements.

Assisting in the preparation of all regulatory and statistical filing

Perform regular spot checks on cash handlers’ cash floats.

Process payments regularly, while ensuring that soft copies of all invoices and receipts are kept in an organised manner.

Assisting in the internal and external audit requirements.
