**This is the job**:
Joining the AA as Head of Finance - Underwriting, you will play a key role within the AA Group Insurer Finance division, with a secondary reporting line to the AAUICL CEO.

You will be responsible for the financial accounting of AAUICL’s £200m of GWP of UK Motor and Home insurance business as well as ensuring adherence to Gibraltar’s regulations for solvency II capital.

**What will I be doing?**:

- Reporting solvency II requirements, presenting and providing justification and support for our solvency position with the GFSC
- Reviewing and approving monthly management accounts and solvency projections
- Working with PwC to complete external audit and file financial reports
- Development and ownership of balance sheet control reconciliation processes, working with central shared services teams
- Lead the Business Partnering for the Insurer group of companies, effectively facing off against AAUICL Chairman and CEO
- Ensure all regulatory submissions are completed to required deadlines
- Managing the production of plans/forecasts for three separate entities which form the Insurer business unit

**What do I need?**:
**Capability, Knowledge and Experience**:

- Knowledge of regulatory environment (i.e. Solvency II)
- Proven track record of managing high performing teams
- Extensive experience of Management Reporting including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow, OpEx, CapEx, Solvency Capital
- Previous experience of Financial Reporting under IFRS17
- Member of the UICL Board
- GFSC Regulated

**Education and Qualifications**:

- Professional qualification in finance ACCA, ACA, CIMA or similar
