**Material Planner - Paisley**
**12 months fixed term contract**
Materials Planner III is the role within Global Distribution Requirements Planning Team. The main objective of this role is to ensure that accurate finished goods inventory is available in the correct place and at the accurate time, whilst optimising inventory levels with regards to backorders, order cycle time, line-item fill rate and stock write offs. This should be achieved by focusing on important metrics, alongside the implementation of continuous process improvements, improved data integrity, validated operating mechanisms, and close collaboration with key partners across the organisation.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Planning and completing global movements of inventory.
- Defining stocking strategy.
- Reviewing availability.
- Handling MRP data and influencing inventory health.
- Closely collaborating with supply sites and internal customers.
**Preferred experience**:
- Strong experience of previous planning, logistics, purchasing, or service required, or successful completion of bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.).
- Strong digital literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office software, especially Excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of planning/purchasing systems and software (MRP) and supply chain concepts including material flow, inventory management and distribution planning.
- Strong customer service focus.
- Ability to develop, provide and analyse reports.
