The main responsibilities of the Stock Controller include:

- To process all orders to suppliers on a daily, weekly and monthly basis ensuring that the warehouse is fully stocked at all times
- To manage the range of products with a retail mentality, ensuring that we maximise sales through all the refreshment solutions provided
- To work with suppliers managing new products, pricing and new opportunities
- To work closely with the warehouse and all Operations' staff to ensure the smooth running of the department
- To ensure all operator's van stock checks are completed and inputted onto the system on Operators' Office Days
- To investigate stock discrepancies daily and directly contact Team Leaders and Operators regarding issues
- To highlight to Operations Managers any discrepancies that cannot be resolved and assist in any investigation meetings or disciplinary action that may take place
- To manage fresh food orders, review and amend as per seasonality
- To run regular reports on Fresh Food sales, wastage and pilferage to both provide to business as required and use for adjusting current standing orders.
- To work with Team Leaders on Fresh Food delivery days and orders for bank holidays
- To engage with new suppliers, get quotes, negotiate and agree contract terms and start ordering
- To manage, process and organise all wholesale orders that are received into the business, ensuring they are delivered to the customers accurately and in the desired timeframe
- To assist the Operations and Service Departments with any administration

Requirements/Desired experience:

- A self-starter with strong time management skills and the need to understand importance of planning and preparation
- Someone who gets involved and is hands on
- Excellent presentation skills and a firm understanding of MS office.
- Able to set clear objectives and guidelines for a team, deliver a clear vision and measure success accordingly
- Commercial experience is vital
- Ability to work as part of a team, with excellent communication skills
- Aptitude for figures and attention to detail
