We have an exciting and highly interesting opportunity available to join us as a Service Engagement Partner. Our T&O organisation is adapting its operating model to match the overall strategy mapped out by the Senior Leadership Team.

You’ll be accountable for maintaining and managing direct relationships with respective CIO teams covering the core understanding of Strategy, Technologies, Environments, Tools and Systems Integration dovetailed with the CIO business environment and strategy, whilst partnering with CIOs to help their functions manage IT related risks as well as the tactical and strategic planning of actions to be executed within the department.

Our IOE team is on the cusp of Santander UK’s technology evolution with cloud adoption a key tenet, accelerating the bank’s ability to deliver faster agility and maximum value in the shortest possible timeframe. There is ample opportunity to fully embrace and learn about the business teams with the supporting technology to realise the services and products provided. This places the individual in an enviable position to see the future and help guide the required strategy to meet success.

**The difference you’ll make.**
- Understanding and appreciating the Santander UK Technology stack and near term demands translating this to business integration and planning outcomes to realise customer benefit.
- Visualising and communicating current and medium term business demands forged by building and maintaining strong relationships with all CIO leads to help guide and direct execution and strategy delivery.
- Maintaining a constant appreciation and understanding of how technology can be used to simplify day to day operations and delivery.
- Acting as the bridge between the Business and Technology domains to guide delivery priorities, technology choice and overall direction of travel to meet Santander UK collective goals and exceed customer expectations.
- Acting as the ambassador for the IOE team with guidance and counsel provided to Technology and Business teams alike, supporting both strategic growth and team development.
- Embracing the change that the Santander UK vision requires and demonstrate this through daily interactions and direction to realise the mission across Technology and Business teams with a digital first mantra.

**What you’ll bring.**
- A seasoned Technologist with broad and deep knowledge of how infrastructure and operations pervade all business delivery.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to speak fluidly across Technology and Business domains.
- A natural leader who is comfortable sitting at the forefront of the Infrastructure, Operations and End User Technology team.
- Current industry knowledge and acumen a key to ensuring successful delivery of many Technology and Business led demands.
- A key ability to plan and forecast the use of technology to realise business goals.
- Risk appetite understanding with a natural affinity to manage and mitigate yet ensure value is derived from ongoing deliveries that meet both Technology and Business demands.

**It would also be nice for you to have.**
- Prior experience in Pre-Sales or Business Development roles driven from a Technology response to Business challenges will help to drive the required relationships.
- Consulting experience in the retail financial services industry based on Technology delivery with transformation a key driver to refresh and renew technology choices to meet business demands.
- Broad managerial experience will be beneficial to help drive and motivate all required Technology and Business teams.
- Sound financial planning and forecasting with exposure to third party suppliers recognising the need to spend Santander UK budgets wisely.

**What else you need to know.**

This is a permanent role to be based at our Milton Keynes office with some remote working.

Time spent working from the Milton Keynes office will be 2-3 days per week initially.
