Customs Manager - Streamline Search are currently working with a leading International Transport & Logistics firm actively recruiting an experienced Customs Manager to join their Basildon location.

Our client offers specialist services in total UK, European and International Freight & Logistics solutions. Due to continued growth and success, they now require a proven assistant Customs Manager to lead a dynamic and growing team.

You will be a confident leader, focusing on the continuous development of the team (6 customs staff), ensuring standards and legal requirements are being followed.

**Customs Manager - Position Overview**
- Within this role you will oversee the management of customs entries, customs clearances, and documentation. You will work closely with Import & Export teams to ensure shipments are tracked, monitored, and completed in full in the given time frame.
- You will also work and liaise with suppliers and external customers ensuring customs documentation and processes adhere to company and legal policies and protocols.

**Customs Manager - Position Requirements**
- Minimum 3-5 years’ work experience in a customs department.
- Managing a team of 6
- Good Knowledge of all aspects of customs entries, including CFSP and T1’s.
- Knowledge of Import / Export process.
- Excellent IT and system knowledge and skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Desire to progress and learn in the freight industry

**Customs Manager - Position Remuneration**
- Salary £40,000 - £48,000 (Dependent on experience)
- Monday - Friday (09:00 - 17:30)
- Company Pension scheme
- 20 days holiday, plus bank holidays.
