**Your new role at NewDay**

**You’ll deliver**
- Strategic and tactical leadership to drive a roadmap of change and continuous improvement for security operations.
- Leading and inspiring a team of security engineers to deliver innovative solutions and continuously improve ways of working.
- Accountability for threat and vulnerability management, security logging and monitoring for threat detection and response, and cryptographic and key management practices.
- Close collaboration with Architecture, Platform and Product and Engineering teams to deliver an engineering-centric approach to operational security practices.
- Management of the strategic partnership with our security service providers for co-managed detection and response, and security testing.
- **What you’ll bring**
We need knowledge, experience + expertise in:

Understanding team needs, retains and develops colleagues through coaching and mentorship.
- Delivery of innovative tools and techniques for vulnerability and threat management, and security monitoring including Microsoft Defender tools, and deployment of Microsoft Sentinel.
- Threat detection and response frameworks and standards, e.g. Mitre Att&ck.
- Demonstrating a “continuous improvement” demeanour which is building for tomorrow.
- Security frameworks and standards, e.g., ISO 27001, CIS Controls.
- Comprehensive understanding of cloud platform security principles and controls including Microsoft security certifications.

- Security engineering practices across Azure and AWS cloud platform environments.
- FinTech business, and consumer lending or Credit Card issuing.
- Support for Microsoft security certifications.
- Payment Card Industry data security standards.
