**About us and the role**
Kelvelec Electrical Supplies Ltd is an established Electrical Distributor based on the outskirts of Kelvedon. We supply our national customer base with electrical equipment on a next day service using the courier network. Industry specific knowledge is not required, and training will be provided.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, we have an exciting opportunity for a full time and permanent Office Administrative Assistant to join our small friendly team working 40 hours a week 0800-1700 Monday-Friday.
In addition to the competitive salary we provide 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays).
There is ample free on-site parking.
For this new member of our team the duties and responsibilities include, but are not restricted to:
- Creating/amending customer sales orders
- Generating courier & haulier bookings
- Updating customer database
- Maintaining company spreadsheets
- Supporting our Accounts Manager with credit control
- Goods received reconciliation
- Assist with customer returns
- Sales enquires by phone
- Generating quotations under guidance
- Experience of this or a similar role is preferred but not essential. **However, a can-do attitude and willingness to learn are.**:
- Confident telephone manner and effective communication skills both internally and externally.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Exel and Outlook is essential.
- Ability to work to close deadlines and take ownership of the role.
- Good numeracy skills.
Whilst we are located close to Kelvedon we are 1.5 - 2 miles from the nearest public transport and therefore consider the use of your own car to be essential.
