Production Supervisor

This is a permanent, full time position based at our facility in Crumlin.**
**Role Overview**
As a production supervisor, you will be responsible for supervision of bulk production of immunoassays at the Crumlin site and will be proficient in all aspects of the process including buffer preparation, reagent preparation, manufacture of immunoassays scale optimisation and immunoassay QC. Production supervisors may also provide assistance with validation and transfer activities alongside the development team to aid projects transferring into manufacturing. The role is responsible for meeting the production output demands in a growing business, maintaining and implementing activities in line with the BBI quality system and the training and supervision of department staff in products, processes and tasks in accordance with good manufacturing practice (GMP) and the practices adopted on site.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
**Role Specific**
- Supervision and Training of Production Scientists and Technicians
- Management of manufacture of BBI’s ELISA/IAC products and components
- Supervisors are responsible for the quality and efficiency of both themselves and others who work with them as part of their team
- Management of the manufacture of ELISA/IAC, components and other diagnostic products
- Monitoring and reporting on department Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
- Compliance with BBI’s quality system requirements
- Managing and completing non-conformances and CAPA within BBI’s quality system
- Manage and drive change projects and continuous improvements / efficiency gains
- Keeping GMP compliant records
- Training of Production employees in your team.
- Liaison with other departments to ensure the smooth functioning of manufacturing
- Scheduling the work activity for the teams to meet daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly production targets
- Supervisor checks for products in manufacture
- Spot checks on all processes
- Ensuring batch record completion is up to date and accurate
- Adherence to all SOPs, EPs and relevant documents
- Management of maintenance, calibration and cleaning of equipment and production areas.
- Change control - Review and update of documents and or processes
- Adhering to Health and Safety regulations
- Refer to appropriate person(s) e.g. Manager or technical experts when issues arise
- Use of SAGE, processing works orders and material transfers
- Periodic review of BoM and comments on variances, errors or updates
- Responsible for maintaining individual Training Records
- Participation in Validation Activities (when required)
- Participation in equipment and process failure investigations and troubleshooting (when required)
- Initiation and implementation of support of Continuous Improvement, cost reduction and efficiency gains
