We have an exciting opportunity for a secondment to a Band 4 Administrator post in the Learning Disabilities Service, for a period of six months.

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join the Learning Disability Service as a Band 4 administrator for a secondment period of six months. This is an ideal opportunity for existing Band 3 team or Band 4 administrators to gain valuable experience working in the administration team based at Riverside Lodge. You will be involved in the Single Point of Access referral team as well as supporting the multidisciplinary community team.

We are looking for a friendly, organized individual who will work as part of the team based at our Central Hub, providing support to the office manager working with another Band 4 colleague, Band 3 team administrator and a Band 2 Receptionist.

This is a fixed term position for six months from the date of appointment, after which time you will return to your original post.

In this role you will require excellent communication and IT skills as well as being an excellent team player with the initiative to take a senior role within the team and providing support to the office manager.

You will work on your own initiative, without supervision and to prioritise and manage own workload and delegate as appropriate to Administrative Support Assistants, ensuring that service objectives and targets are met.

To provide a comprehensive word processing service using Microsoft Office packages including the typing of confidential/clinical correspondence from manuscript or audio/digital transcription.

To be responsible for the patient pathway process as per the electronic patient record system (Rio), as and when required eg referrals, clinical coding, appointments, domiciliary visits, questionnaires, assessments/clinic lists, prescription.

To be responsible for taking minutes/action notes, and provide other high standard service support for meetings as required ie Operational Meetings, MDT, investigations.

The Learning Disabilities Service provides a range of services for people in the West Midlands to assist them in managing their learning disabilities. All our services are provided by teams of clinical professionals and support staff who aim to provide integrated services in ways that best meet the needs of patients and their carers.

The post holder will take the lead role in maintaining all aspects of a high level administration and business support on a day to day basis ensuring efficient and effective running of all administrative and office systems within the Learning Disabilities Service.. Working with managers and clinicians to support other administrative staff to ensure the smooth running of all office based systems.
