The role of Purchasing Supervisor is a key role within the team ensuring the smooth day to day running of the department with a hands on approach, being the main day to day escalation point, ensuring continued service levels during sickness and holiday. In addition to this the supervisor will assist the manager with other areas of responsibility including rebate management and transactional sales.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assist purchasing manager with the day-to-day workload of the purchasing administrators within the team by being responsible for ensuring the day to day priorities and requirements are met to a high standard and efficiently and any issues are fed back to management.
- Actively manage the team activity through direct reports and their development, which includes being responsible for performance reviews, coaching and development, lead a high performing team and support succession plans.
- Regular reviews of work being completed by the team to ensure it is completed to a high standard.
- Ensuring team SLA’s and targets are achieved.
- Contribute to the development of team processes and procedures, ensuring these are up to date and documented including any amendments.
- Take ownership and be the point of escalation for all day-to-day investigations and queries relating to purchases and deliveries.
- Identify and highlight emerging risks and issues that merit further investigation by the Purchasing Manager.
- Provide monthly reporting on key areas and agreed metrics to agreed timeframes including end of month reporting.
- Being responsible for large transactional orders ensuring these are processed and delivered on time.
- Dealing with all finance related queries in a timely manner through to resolution.
- Lead meetings and provide updates and key metrics on supplier performance and any supplier related issues.
- Ensuring stock levels within our warehouse and distribution partners are at the appropriate levels to achieve fulfilment targets.
- Report and drive product fulfilment improvement to customers through efficient management of distribution partners and warehouse stock levels.
- Reporting and managing rebate targets providing manager with insights and recommendations to ensure these are hit.
- Managing company utility bills ensuring these have up to date readings, charges are correct and reporting data is maintained.
- Assisting manager on consumable savings helping to ensure targets are achieved by providing regular reporting and updates.
- Ensure work standards are maintained during sickness and holiday with effective holiday planning and covering to ensure a consistent level of service including covering the roles day-to-day responsibilities.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers to help ensure efficient back-order management and stock levels.
- Assisting the manager in other areas of responsibility when required.
- Reporting on team and other key activities on a weekly/monthly basis.

- Spares and Consumable Fulfilment Levels to customer.
- Back Order Management and on time deliveries
- Reporting accurate and on time.
- Smooth day to day running of the daily operation.
- Accurate reporting of rebates
- Transactional Sales Fulfilment

**SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Demonstratable management experience
- Good IT Skills in particular MS office
- Calm under pressure with good problem-solving skills.
- Strong focus on providing excellent customer service.
- Strong eye for detail.
- Strong organisation skills
- Must be pro active with a “can do” attitude
- Strong administrative background

**IN RETURN WE OFFER**:
