**Position - Workplace Assessor**

Visit our corporate customers to carry out a workplace assessment, evaluating the barriers and difficulties they face in their job role and creating a Workplace Adjustment report detailing recommendations of equipment, software and support that can be put in place to enable them to work more comfortably, effectively and productively.

**Background**

A workplace assessment will result in the recommendation of appropriate adjustments to mitigate the impact of an individual’s condition or disability in the workplace. The assessment will make recommendations for each employee based on their individual requirements.

The assessors operate to a professional standard and have a duty of care to the individual being assessed. Assessors operate impartially and objectively to ensure recommendations are based on professional opinion. The assessor should not be negatively or positively influenced by either the employee or employer.

**Work Experience Required**
- A good all-round knowledge of assistive technology solutions and/or ergonomic aids and equipment.
- Support experience, especially young people and adults, who have learning and / or physical disabilities.
- Ability to quickly learn new software and hardware.
- Ability to communicate easily with individuals and tailor solutions in each case.
- Office procedures such as form-filling, record-keeping and expenses submission.
- Book appointments and keep records of progress, including learning development plans.
- The preferred applicant will have experience and knowledge of assistive technologies and workplace assessment delivery.

**Expectations**:

- Must be Polite, Professional and Patient.
- Must pass a CRB check and be of impeccable character.
- Must be pro-active in keeping own skills up to date and attend update sessions at HQ when required.
- Monitor developments within the assistive technology environment and keep a record of personal development and experience to demonstrate continual improvement.
- Create detailed written assessment reports to a high standard.
- Have reliable transport and a willingness to travel
- Must adhere to company standards of Dress Code and conduct.
- Maintain good communications to the office whilst on-site and return paperwork or administrational documentation in an efficient manner.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Freelance

**Salary**: From £40.00 per hour
