**What does a **Project Office Lead do here?

You’ll help drive our portfolio of projects forward and shape our governance framework, using your keen eye for data and world class PMO skills.

We have a small team of project/programme managers who need your help With a rapidly growing team and some government critical projects, we now need someone to provide the coordination, oversight and reporting to drive efficiencies, guide the teams & help make some hefty decisions - managing the practical aspects of our programmes - including resources, budgets, processes, tooling requirements and KPI reporting.

With a wide breadth and depth of customers and projects, this Greenfield opportunity will give you the freedom to be involved in defining the Project Office from scratch and then owning it, working with a fun team, some cutting edge tech and customers with sizable budgets.

**What** will I do day to day?

Working closely with our Director of Professional Services, the role is responsible for ensuring the PMO runs smoothly and efficiently across all customer engagements, giving stakeholders the reassurance that everything is under control. You will be managing day to day activities and continuously optimising and enhancing our processes, tools, data management and KPI reporting. The goal being to maximise project performance, optimise use of resources across the ML delivery teams, reduce risk and enable exceptional project performance.

Responsibilities include:

- Define and maintain project best practice and governance
- Process standardisation
- Project prioritisation
- Enable efficient resource planning and scheduling
- Resource capacity planning and forecasting
- Process and workflow streamlining and automation
- Deliver relevant information to stakeholders to enable timely decision making
- KPI’s reporting such as progress, project health, team utilisation, financial tracking
- Ownership and management of the PS groups data and metrics
- Data and financial analysis, participate in strategic decision making.
- Oversee the SOW process ensuring clear scope, effort and commercials
- Project learning and knowledge accessibility
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure process and priorities are clear
- Oversee high quality time reporting for project teams
- Provide the Finance department with required project data
- Experienced in defining programme and project governance and best pratice;
- Strong in data management, organisational and communication skills;
- Have exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to be firm when needed
- Skilled with commercials, finance and budgets
- Proficient in resource planning;
- Team player with strong drive who mobilises people and gets things done
- Experienced with ERP/CRM systems;
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel and proficient on other MS Office tools;
- Great at multi-tasking;
- A positive self-starter, self-motivated and enthusiastic;
- Detail oriented and able to cross-check and ensure accuracy of detailed documents and group and customer statistics;
- Able to work independently;
- Shy away from challenges
- Might struggle to adapt & think on your feet
- Prefer stability on projects over fast growth and pace
