In Summer 2024, Solihull Hospital will change the face of surgical procedures across our communities. With eight existing theatres, our new Elective Hub will see us increase by a further SIX, once operational we will perform 10,000 procedures a year.

You will be passionate about improving care, quality and the overall experience whilst making a difference to the people who access our services. As we are a 24/7 service you will need to workdays, Nights, weekends, bank holidays and on calls. Flexibility is available for part

**Main duties, tasks & skills required**:
As a Band 2 Theatre support worker you should be motivated, have a keen interest in the peri-operative environment and excellent communication skills. No experience is required for this post as full training and support will be given.

This role is wide and varied, you will be required to move equipment, beds, trolleys, communicate with patients and visitors and colleagues

All new starters are supported in their work area by the theatre clinical education team as well as the theatres teams themselves.

You will be required to cover a range of shifts, which will include weekends, bank holidays, early/late/night duty, and the out of hours on call services.

- Experience of working / participating as part of a team.

- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the role and tasks involved
- Can articulate the reasons for training/ standards of practice and behaviour and how these may be demonstrated / relate to patient care and safety
- Shows enthusiasm for the role and is interested in working in a theatre environment
