**Physical Development Assistant - Physiotherapy - OT - SEN - Secondary - Chertsey**

**The School**:
The school is based near Chertsey, Surrey and provides support for secondary aged pupils who have a wide range of learning and behavioural needs. All students that attend the school have a designated Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) which details theirspecific needs in terms of the care and support they will have access to. The needs of the students are considered to be mild compared with other special schools in the area.

**Summary**:
Main Responsibilities:

- Supporting the therapy team across the school. Working closely with the Physical Development Co-Ordinator and Occupational Therapists to achieve goals of the school and individual needs of the pupils

Moving and Handling:

- Supporting the Physical Development Co-ordinator, by implementing effective mobility and manual handling for Pupils across the school

Physio and Occupational Therapy:

- Organising and running daily OT lessons as advised by the Occupational Therapist and SENCOs
- Liaising with the Occupational Therapist to review pupils and their targets; adapt sessions as necessary
- Supporting with physiotherapy sessions
- Delivering sensory circuit sessions as advised

**Additional Details**:

- Monday-Friday: 8.30am-3.20pm, term time only
- Salary: £17,357-£19,031 (actual salary based on 39 working weeks)
- Previous experience of manual handing is highly desirable
