As a Senior Residential Care Worker, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and supportive environment for children in need of residential care. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the well-being, safety, and growth of the children under your care. You will lead a team of compassionate care workers, providing guidance and support to maintain the highest standards of care.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide direct care and support to children, assisting them with daily activities, personal care, and emotional well-being.
- Lead and supervise a team of care workers, offering guidance, support, and training as needed.
- Implement personalised care plans and individual support programs tailored to the specific needs of each child.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment where children feel safe, valued, and respected.
- Collaborate with external professionals, such as social workers, therapists, and healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive care and support for the children.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of each child's progress, incidents, and observations.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuous professional development opportunities.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in residential care, preferably within a children's residential care setting.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or a related field.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building rapport with children, colleagues, and external professionals.
- Empathy, patience, and resilience to handle challenging situations.
- Knowledge of child development, safeguarding procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

We offer a competitive pay rate of £11.50 per hour, with an OTE (on-target earnings) circa £30,000, based on full-time hours. You will also have access to a range of employee benefits and ongoing training opportunities to support your professional growth.
