Manchester, United Kingdom Cera Care Full time

We are recruiting Senior Care Assistants for our Extra Care service in Manchester (M22, M14, M14 and M15).

We're recruiting for full-time permanent positions, days and nights. You'll need to have previous experience working in care and be prepared to take on supervisory and additional responsibilities as a senior carer.

Extra Care units offer residents their own self contained living space within a larger building, with access to care staff who are based within the unit and who provide care to each resident. As a care assistant at our Extra Care Unit, you will be supporting residents, who all have varying needs to live as independently as possible, with personalised care and support plans in place.

Every client's needs are different. You may assist with a bit of housework or help with getting up in the morning. A tasty hot meal and a listening ear. A hand with medication or getting washed and dressed. But more than this, our carers become friends, providing human company, encouragement and maybe a laugh or two, often when life has become a bit tough. Caring isn't always easy, but a lot of people and their families will be grateful that you were there for them.

Working hours:

Monday - Friday, 8am - 3pm. Block hours in one scheme.

Why Cera?

You are valued - Carers are the backbone of our vision to empower people to live longer, healthier, better lives at home. Our core values – Commit, Connect, and Create – guide everything we do and we have a monthly Cera Stars awards programme to celebrate our employees' amazing work.

Additionally, we provide enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption pay, an employee assistance program, healthcare cash plan, eyecare plan, and mental health telephone support service.
