**Summary**:

This is the perfect time to join us at Fledglings to be part of our plans to develop Children Services across the North West over the next 2-5 years supporting some of the most vulnerable children in our society

**Duties include**:

- To actively safeguard and promote the welfare of the young people.
- To report immediately any unsafe practices and conditions.
- Actively promote boundaries, structures, and routines within a safe and nurturing environment.
- Provide a positive role model for the young people, in a professional manner.
- As required work with young people on intervention strategies to promote pro-social behaviour.
- To undertake the role of a key worker for young people.
- To deliver direct and individual work to young people.
- Helping the young people access education
- Provide and participate in leisure activities in line with care and placement plans of the young.
- Days out ( social events, shopping, cinema, swimming)
- Offering guidance, support and structure to their everyday lives

**This Role requires sleep in duties**

**Qualifications Required**:

- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent - desirable
- 12 months experience working in a residential setting - desirable
- Secondary Education with good standard of literacy and numeracy
- Current manual driving licence required due to the nature of job role.
- Successful applicants are required to undergo an enhanced DBS disclosure and provide satisfactory references.
- DBS Disclosure expense will be met by the employer.
