IMPACT-NOW is looking for eager and passionate volunteers to help support our community support program within Northampton. We need people from all walks of life to help us create awareness of our services in their local communities.
By becoming a Community Support Volunteer you will be working with us to support vulnerable families affected by the high cost of living through loss of income, those already on low income and families who have health issues by helping them get their essential needs met. We also provide support to people suffering from mental ill-health brought about by the stress of the high cost of living crisis, some of whom cannot leave their house.
This is the perfect opportunity for anyone who has a passion for supporting families in need and is looking to enhance their CV, gain valuable work experience and help within their community.
If you are looking to build your confidence, social skills and self-esteem or you enjoy speaking to the public and want to develop your management and marketing skills then please get in contact.
Our charity needs your support so please give whatever time you can.
The areas that we need assistance with are as follows:
- Assisting with sorting out food parcels.
- Delivering food parcels to families in the community.
- Stocking up food supplies.
- Providing support to families suffering from mental ill-health.
- Educating people about our work by talking to local community groups and other charities.
- Befriending
- Advocacy support
- Other community support work
