Highly Specialist Dietitian

The post is a permanent, full-time role (working 37.5 hours per week). It will be based in Neath Port Talbot Hospital, where outpatient services are located. You will be required to support services across the Health Board. Travel between sites will be required and the role will provide support for the gastroenterology inpatient caseload at Morriston Hospital.
You should have skills in relevant clinical areas and time management, with the ability to work autonomously and flexibly across a range of settings.
You will manage a clinical caseload of patients with both gastroenterology disorders and post G.I. surgery. The post holder will have an opportunity to assist with service change and development within the specialty area.
You will take responsibility for supervision and mentoring of junior members of staff, Placement 1, 2 and 3 student dietitians, support workers and assistant practitioners, delegating duties as necessary and providing the appropriate level of support at all times.
We offer both departmental and personal CPD time to support your development and share best practice. Our Department is committed to the development of evidenced-based practice, research and clinical audit and you will be supported in attending relevant professional networking meetings, interest groups and CPD opportunities as well as having an annual appraisal.
We have good support from administrative staff and Dietetic Assistants. The Health Board has University status with Colleges of Medicine on site.
