Job Introduction
We are delighted to offer an excellent opportunity for an Administrator to join our team at the Luton Intermediate Care Rehabilitation Service.
This is a key role where you will be the first point of contact for referrals and telephone enquires.
In this role, no two days will be the same as you handle a diverse range of administrative tasks and provide essential support to the Intermediate Care Rehabilitation team. From coordinating referrals and managing patient records to aiding with minute taking you will contribute to the seamless operation of our service and help enhance the overall patient experience.
**The role will be on a part time basis, working 33.75 hours across the week.**
Main Responsibilities
As an administrator you will:
- Deal with telephone enquires promptly and accurately ensuring that messages are accurately relayed and appropriately referred on
- Respond to patients’ telephone enquiries in a sensitive and confidential manner, dealing with the issue or referring onto the appropriate member of staff
- Receive, sort, distribute and dispatch mail
- Attend and minute meetings when required ensuring that statements are accurately recorded

We are looking for someone who ideally possesses the following:
- Good IT skills including Microsoft office packages and keyboard skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and can communicate clearly with wide range of colleagues
- Has the ability to work with discretion and sensitivity and can maintain confidentiality
- Has good planning and organisational skills
- Can prioritise and manage their own workload
We would ideally like someone who has previous experience in a clerical, administrative or reception based role, preferably in a healthcare, education or social care setting.
