Purchase Ledger Administrator

We have an exciting opportunity at Zenith for a Purchase Ledger Administrator to work as part of a busy Finance team on a** Fixed Term Contract (10 months)**.

Reporting to the Purchase Ledger Manager the Purchase Ledger Administrator will be responsible for the accurate maintenance of the purchase ledger and the completion of all purchase ledger administration tasks to ensure that costs are appropriately assigned and suppliers are paid to term.

**Role Responsibilities**
- Distribution of invoices to authorisers as required including opening post and scanning invoices
- Reconciliation of Supplier statements on a timely basis
- Storing invoices to internal software system
- Preparation and submission of BACS Payment Runs
- Preparation and submission of Same Day Payments
- Preparation and payment of staff expenses
- Collation of information and documents as required for audit purposes
- Timely resolution of supplier and customer queries to ensure all queried transactions are cleared promptly
- Ensuring timely and appropriate escalation of issues to the relevant parties in the business
- High level query resolution
- Other ad hoc tasks which may be required to cover for sickness or holidays in other areas of the business

**Skills & Experience**
- Strong IT capabilities including good excel knowledge (lookups, pivot tables, formulae etc.)
- Approachable with the ability to support team members and the wider business
- Exceptional organisational skills and a professional communication style
- Ability to demonstrate a determined, can do attitude, can take a positive approach to learning and is unafraid to try and fail on new ideas
- Can show a genuine enthusiasm for delivering excellent customer service. Is an advocate of the company to team customers and suppliers
- Can participate in and contribute to team meetings, demonstrate helpful and positive interactions with customers and internal stakeholders
- Proven experience of working in a busy finance team delivering to deadlines
- Proven ability to build relationships within a team whilst achieving prompt query resolution
