Electric Ireland is the primary customer facing business unit of the ESB Group and is the leading energy supplier in Ireland. With over 1.4 million customers in both the Republic and Northern Ireland and an annual turnover in excess of €2bn. It is the main customer interface for the ESB Group. Our product offerings include Electricity, Gas and Energy Home Services. Our Northern Ireland activities began in 2001 entering the commercial market, supplying both Gas and Electricity to businesses. We entered the residential space in October 2015 and we currently supply electricity to over 90,000 homes in this market.
We require a Product and Proposition Manager to help support the team.
**Position Description**
This role is looking for a highly skilled Product and Proposition Specialist to work as part of the NI Residential team, reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager. It will be responsible for managing the end-to-end energy product portfolio and also generate profitable growth by retaining and maximising the customer lifetime value of our existing customer base, deliver customer insight and market knowledge for future growth. The role will focus on managing the operational product roadmap - considering the evolving market, customer needs and regulatory directives. This role will lead a small team.
The role holder will ensure customers are put first and at the heart of all decision making. The core purpose of the role is to develop, plan, and evaluate customer base activities that deliver on churn and value aspirations, while supporting the achievement of Electric Ireland key strategic objectives. Critical to success is extensive and effective team working with many stakeholders across the business to deliver results.
**Key Responsibilities**
**The specific Deliverables/ responsibility for this role include**
- Develop and implement a retention and acquisition strategy and product portfolio. Implement accordingly for the business, ensuring the NI residential budget is managed accordingly.
- Working with the marketing, sales, web and regulation teams to ensure all products are compliant.
- Work closely within the team and develop Marketing Insight and Analytics to build a deeper customer and competitive understanding and leverage this to inform interactions, segmentation and create campaigns. Seek out and utilising data to inform segmentation, understanding and campaign development.
- Co-ordinate and schedule any tariff changes for the residential team, providing stakeholders with relevant supporting documentation - product models, managing and approving User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Manage quality and oversight across all deployment - through the management and execution of robust procedures, policies and UAT.
- To project manage and delivery of products (all channel acquisitions and retention products) and services with a clearly defined ‘business readiness’ plan, with approved operational and commercial KPIs.
