Reporting to the R&T Manager, this is an opportunity for an experienced and entrepreneurial R&D professional to join a FTSE 100 organisation with a strategic focus on expanding our pharmaceutical technology.

**Essentials**:

- You will have demonstrable experience solving complex problems using creative solutions
- Educated to degree or PhD level in Biochemistry, Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, Bioengineering or a related discipline
- Experience in formulation of drug products, excipients screening, stability testing is required
- Background in developing and troubleshooting a broad range of analytical techniques for excipient and formulation characterisation
- Strong project management skills to effectively design and lead internal and external innovation projects
- Knowledge of developing injectable dosage forms for preclinical & clinical use, this will include formulation development and product characterisation
- Appreciation of the regulatory environment, ideally GMP/GLP
- You will be able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- You will be an effective team player and have strong interpersonal skills to enable you to build good working relationships both internally and externally to the business
- You will have excellent spoken and written communication skills
- Willingness to travel

**Desirables**:

- Able to demonstrate Croda’s enhanced market knowledge and breadth in protein biochemistry and/or protein biophysics is desirable
- Demonstrated experience at designing market relevant training.
- Demonstrated experience of translating market evaluations into product development projects.
