Summary
Up Holland High School wishes to appoint an Attendance Improvement Officer responsible for monitoring and improving student attendance within the school setting, including conducting home visits to understand and address attendance issues, collaborating with parents, and implementing strategies to promote regular school attendance.
Up Holland High School is a happy and harmonious place to be where students are highly-motivated and have the opportunity to be inspired and succeed. We believe that our strong collaboration with students, staff, parent/carers and governors continues to contribute towards the success of the school. You will be responsible for monitoring and improving student attendance within a school setting, duties include conducting home visits to understand and address attendance issues, collaborating with parents, and implementing strategies to promote regular school attendance. Working closely with the attendance team to analyse data, identifying and resolving patterns of student absence in order to make a measurable impact upon the school’s rates of authorised and unauthorised absence, with a particular focus on key groups.
The Attendance Improvement Officer needs to respond knowledgeably and efficiently to the many enquiries and situations faced by the attendance team on a daily basis. You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff.
