About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Attendance Officer to join our team at Wigan Council. As an Attendance Officer, you will play a crucial role in improving school attendance across the borough, working closely with schools, families, and other services to achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of attendance data
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve attendance rates
  • Work closely with schools, families, and other services to identify and address attendance issues
  • Provide support and guidance to schools and families on attendance-related matters
  • Contribute to the development of attendance policies and procedures
