Edinburgh, United Kingdom UserTesting Full time

We're UserTesting, a leader in experience research and insights; we believe the path to human understanding and great experiences start with a shared understanding—seeing and hearing how another person engages with the world around them and taking in their perspective. Working at UserTesting, you will be empowered to help organizations discover the human side of business-transforming how they work, collaborate, innovate, and bring new products and experiences to market. This is what inspires us, and it's how we enable companies to connect with their audiences naturally and organically through an experience that is uniquely, and intentionally human.

A trusted company by top brands for 15+ years, UserTesting, recently merged with UserZoom, has over 3,400 customers in 50 countries, including 75 of the Fortune 100 companies. Joining our team means being part of a passionate group focused on transforming how companies learn from and understand their customers. Come join us and help us build the engine for human understanding.

**About the team**:
We are a cross-disciplinary group made up of writers, designers and researchers. Our team works closely with engineers, data scientists, product managers and other specialties to design and build the platform our 3,400 customers rely on for human insight in their own design process.

We are a globally distributed team, although many of us live near to company offices and choose to work in-person if we want to - those locations include Vancouver, Edinburgh, London, Barcelona and Paris. Our office spaces have been designed to support the kind of activities like workshops or design critiques and these spaces are connected seamlessly to our colleagues around the world via Zoom rooms.

We're collaborative by nature, user-centered (obviously) and passionate about delivering a product that meets the needs of our customers and contributors.

Our culture is one of kindness and inclusivity and we encourage and support each other to be our true selves at work believing that we produce our best work in this way.

**The Opportunity**:
Help us improve product usability and adoption through thoughtful, intuitive and lean design As a Product Designer at UserTesting, you'll craft experiences as part of a collaborative team of Designers, UX Writers, UX Researchers, Product Managers, Marketers and Engineers.

This role is based in Edinburgh or Barcelona, but we're open to consider profiles that work remotely from anywhere in the UK or Spain.

**What you will be doing**
- Translate problems and concepts into feasible solutions through wireframes, concepts, maps, storyboards, sketches, workflows, interactive prototypes and design specifications.
- Work closely with product managers and engineering teams to find the best solution to transform an idea into a new feature.
- Collaborate with other designers, UX writers, UX researchers, Product Marketing and Product Management to enhance the user experience of the product through thoughtful designs.
- Conduct UX Research to test concepts and designs, analyzing user feedback and activity, and iterating to enhance the user experience.
- Collaborate with engineers, marketing, product managers, customer support, and other stakeholders. Influence and adapt to stakeholders and their feedback.
- Defend design choices using previous user research, heuristics and usability standards.
- Document designs and detailed functional requirements, and work with developers to ensure intended experiences are carried through.

**What we are looking for**
- Experience in user-focused design for digital interfaces including work in software, digital agencies, or other relevant product areas.
- Solid professional experience in UX design, UI design, product design, etc,...
- Rapid prototyping and wireframing.
- High organizational skills, dedication and ownership, with the ability to work on multiple projects and deliver refined content in a short time.
- Proficient in design software such as Figma, Figjam, Framer, Sketch, Invision, etc.
- Attention to detail.
- Demonstrated passion and commitment to quality.
- High communication and teamwork skills.
- Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.
- High level of English communication skills is a must, written and spoken.
- Eager to learn, collaborate, and work with feedback from the design team and cross-disciplinary partners.
