The post holder assists with managing the department, and deputies for the section head during absence.
- The work is carried out according to standard operating procedures designed to comply with the principles of current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP)
- Ensures all activities in the department are carried out in accordance with the principles of cGMP in order that all tablet packing operations are of the required quality, safety and efficiency.
- Assists in the reporting and investigation of Quality Investigation Reports.
- Ensures completion of corrective and preventive actions arising from QIRs and QERs within agreed time frames.
- Coach and mentor staff to ensure activities are performed as described in BMRs, local procedures and meeting the requirements of cGMP.
- Ensures any changes to procedures, processes, equipment or practices are adequately assessed via the formal change control process
- Carries out any remedial actions within the section arising from regulatory inspections (Medicines and Health Care Products Regulatory Agency [MHRA]), and from internal audits, within the specified times scales.
- Ensures that Health and Safety and COSHH regulations are adhered to within the section.
- Ensures that tablet counting equipment is maintained to the required standards.
- Ensures that in process checks are properly carried out, and that documentation has been properly completed prior to production and/or quality control final checks.
