**Job summary** Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Enabling officer to work as part of a small team in their 28 Independent Living sites across the Stroud District. The role is essentially to enable older people to maintain their tenancies, sustainindependence and lead a good quality of life. You will signpost for housing related support including carrying out home visits, verify support needs and agree support plans where/if appropriate. The role also requires you to contribute to community life byworking with residents to support, develop and promote social activities in communal areas of their Independent Living sites including their HUBS by assisting with fund raising and income generation to support the activities.

About you

You will be a self-starter with a willingness to investigate and identify areas needing improvement in social inclusion activities with the ability to communicate with partner agencies and visitors to their Independent Living sites.

You will be able to identify support needs of older people, meeting need and raising alerts where appropriate. Assist with communal activities and events as well as local meetings and surgeries.
