**Working Hours and Location**:Monday to Friday 08:45 to 17:00 (45 mins lunch break), with possibility of some hybrid working after probationary period. Free on-site parking. Preferably within a 45-minute commute of our office in Stonehouse,Stroud (Gloucs), but this is flexible

**The job role**

This exciting role is primarily responsible for the maintenance of accounting records and helping with the monthly management accounts. As this is not presently a full-time finance position, duties will initially also include the provision of more generaladministrative support to the Directors and the business. However, as the business grows, the finance role will also grow to 5 days a week.

**What you’ll work on**

Finance & Accounts Administration (**approx. 3 days per week, initially**)
- Entering purchase invoices and receipts on the accounting system and matching with payments made
- Reconciling supplier accounts
- Raising sales invoices
- Matching customer payments with outstanding sales invoices
- Maintaining accurate customer and supplier records in the accounting system
- Helping the Sales Team to ensure sales invoices are paid on time
- Reconciling bank statements with the accounting records
- Maintaining Fixed Asset records
- Managing the digital filing of all accounting documents
- Updating the payroll system with changes
- Producing monthly payslips for staff
- Assisting the Accountant with the preparation and publication of monthly Management Accounts and other reports

Office & General Administration (**approx. 2 days per week initially**)
- Ordering supplies for the Office as needed.
- Organising travel for directors and staff
- Helping organise internal and external events for staff and customers
- Any other appropriate activities to support the directors as time permits

**Educational requirements**
- GCSE Maths & English at grade C or above
- Two 'A’ levels or equivalent
- Ideally membership of the Association of Accounting Technicians

**Essential experience**

The minimum requirements for this role include at least two years’ office-based work involving the use of computers and Microsoft Office. Ideally this experience will have been in an Accounts or Finance environment.

SAP experience would be an advantage, however, full training will be provided.

**Competencies**
- Strong verbal and numerical reasoning ability, along with attention to detail in both words and numbers
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately and identify where additional help or support is needed in order to complete tasks successfully
- A can-do attitude tempered with good self-awareness of own strengths and weaknesses, and a willingness to learn
- Strong inter-personal skills and an ability to communicate sensitively, concisely and clearly with both internal and external contacts in both the written word and spoken language.

**Driving licence is required, as is authorisation to work in the UK
