Are you an experienced Product Engineer from an electrical/electronics environment looking to work for a leading supplier to some of the world largest OEM and retail businesses?

On offer is an excellent opportunity to join a long-established international company that enjoys contract with some of largest household brand names supplying gas detection equipment for the refrigeration industry in the UK.

An opportunity has arisen for a product engineer based at the Egham office that would be a key player in the continued success of the business. The Product Engineer would report directly to the Divisional Director and be responsible for a small workshopassembly team.

**The role**:

- Supervise day to day operation of workshop and provide technical support and guidance to team.
- Provide system schematic drawings for contract engineers.
- Prepare schematic and GA drawings for single phase electrical panels for workshop to assemble.
- Manage workflow for the workshop in conjunction with customer demands and keep team aware of delays.
- Monitor product quality and workshop team performance in conjunction with colleagues.
- Assist procurement with identification and evaluation of new component suppliers
- Monitor and investigate product failures and warranty issues to determine root cause failure and identify future preventative measures
- Identify and evaluate product shortfalls and formulate recommendations for improvement

**The person**:

- Previous workshop assembly experience relating to small electrical control panels
- Ability to design basic single phase electrical control panels
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD to prepare schematic and mechanical assembly drawings
