**Are you passionate about User Research?**

We are looking for a permanent User Research Officer to join our Continuous Improvement Team in England.

**Job description**:
We are a friendly team and we work collaboratively with funding teams in England, and colleagues from across the Fund, to support our continuous improvement approach. We work with people to identify and implement improvements, whether they’re related to our funding programmes, systems and processes or our knowledge and skills. We are passionate about continuously learning and improving what we do so that we can have the biggest impact possible for communities across England.

This is a great opportunity for a user researcher who is passionate about understanding user experience and influencing change for both customers and colleagues within England.

This role will require a highly motivated person to design and lead on a wide range of user research. Some examples of the areas of research it may involve are:

- Understanding and supporting the improvement of our funding programmes, processes and internal grant making system.
- Targeted research with minoritised communities to better understand barriers to our funding.
- Discovery of user needs to feed into a Learning and Development plan.

**Interview Date**: Tuesday 25th April

**Location**: You can be based anywhere in England to ensure easy access to all of our England offices.

Our England offices are based in Birmingham, Exeter, Leeds, London and Newcastle.

We have a hybrid approach to working and more than happy to discuss your ideal working pattern.

**Person specification**:
**Essential criteria**
- Experience of planning/designing research that is appropriate, inclusive and ethical.
- Experience of how to use different research techniques to understand a situation or a problem.
- Experience of analysing data in various forms to create clear findings.
- Ability to connect and communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences, including when making recommendations/sharing insights.
- Values-driven and passionate about the Fund’s purpose.
- Ability to work flexibly and handle multiple competing priorities within a small team.

**Desirable criteria**
- A good understanding of grant giving/ not for profit sector and the customer facing services needed.
- Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team.
