The Centre for Research in Infection and Sexual Health, directed by Professor Richard Gilson, has around 30 staff, made up of clinicians, research nurses, research assistants, administrative, data and trial management staff.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Assistant to join the team and undertake participant recruitment and data collection, collation and submission of participant data and the processing and preparation of clinical samples.

**About the role**:
This post would be ideally suited for an individual with some experience of working in a healthcare setting and/or experience of clinical research. The postholder will be interested to work with research participants and will be enthusiastic about clinical research in infectious diseases.

The post is offered full-time and is available for 12 months in the first instance.

Salary range: £37,332 - £39,980 per annum (including London Allowance), depending on experience.

**About you**:
The postholder should be educated to degree level and should have previous experience of working in a healthcare setting or conducting health-related research. They should have knowledge of and/or experience of work in HIV, infection, or/and sexual health and an appreciation of the importance of accuracy in data collection, management, and analysis.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, work under pressure, set and keep project deadlines and use own initiative are essential for this role.
