Job description:
To work as part of a professional Hotel team to produce a high-quality service (the Henley Experience) to Business School clients and visitors. Our facilities are available to organisations as a venue for conferences and events and individuals for B&B bookings. Our client base is multi-national and serves both internal and external clients.
- Deliver an efficient, professional and courteous Reception service to all customers, ensuring excellent customer service at all times
- Check in guests as they arrive at the hotel, and check them out as they depart
- Process credit card transactions within school guidelines, balance monies, reporting any discrepancies to the Senior Receptionist / Front of House Manager
- Manage B&B bookings ensuring all reservations are accurately captured on event management system
- Respond to customer requests in a pro-active manner, regarding facilities, accommodation or special requests and ensure the Senior Receptionist / Front of House Manager is kept informed of incidents that may require follow up.
- Compliance with all Health & Safety practices, ensuring hotel security, safety of guests including acting as a Fire Warden.
We are looking for an individual with exceptional customer service skills and able to work with mínimal supervision. The role requires extensive use of an event management system, so the ability to learn a new system quickly and follow the required processes associated is paramount. General competence in Microsoft suite programs and an excitement to learn new programs and use problem solving skills would demonstrate this requirement. We are looking for someone who can remain calm and maintain effectiveness under pressure.
