Sustainability Officer

Telford Head Office Based

Hours of Work - Monday to Friday (9am - 5.30pm)

**About the Role**:
At Lyreco, we are seeking a driven and passionate Sustainability Officer to spearhead support initiatives aimed at maximising our contribution to society. This pivotal role will involve collaborating with external organisations and securing buy-in from multiple stakeholders, playing a crucial part in our community engagement plans, volunteer policies, and sustainability efforts.

**Sustainability Officer Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the Social Value Portal (TOMS) or a similar platform, providing support to the Bids and Tender Team to ensure that our Social Value proposition aligns with the procurement process and meets the expectations of our existing and potential customer base.
- Collaborate with the compliance team to enhance our internal sustainability credentials and practices.
- Lead the development and implementation of our Volunteer Policy, driving employee engagement, and serving as the primary point of contact for our charity partners, including Lyreco For Education.
- Manage an internal charity group to explore ways to augment our contributions to charity partners.
- Identify and execute solutions to improve our internal sustainability measures, including initiatives to increase recycling, reduce waste, and achieve plastic-free status.
- Actively engage with various departments within the business to gather data necessary for social value measurement.
- Look after our sustainable product assessment approval process to support our wider Group targets as well as support our customer sustainability manager with any general customer questions.

**As a Sustainability Officer, you will be expected to**:

- Proven experience in project management and planning, with an exceptional eye for detail and high standards.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Excellent administration, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and adaptability to evolving priorities.
- Ability to work effectively with various departments at all levels of management.
- A customer-focused approach to all aspects of work.
