A smooth-running supply chain operation is worth it’s weight in gold in the manufacturing world.

Imagine playing a key role in ensuring the efficient running of the supply chain function at a globally renowned company in the food production sector.

You’ll be supporting planning and inventory management within the team based at the 3PL site, maximising inventory integrity and availability, administrating schedule changes, liaising with suppliers and internal customers, whilst minimising material stock outs.

Your duties will include; supporting the planners and inventory controller, supporting daily/weekly rhythms around material call offs and schedules aligned to meet the production plan and factory consumptions, understanding and communicate risks to minimize impact on production and distribution schedule and monitoring inventory levels against agreed targets and address with required corrective actions.

We’re ideally looking for someone who has worked in a similar environment previously with a focus on supply chain and logistics. You’ll need to have exceptional communication skills and be resilient to change. A working knowledge of ERP systems, such as SAP, would be extremely beneficial.

The salary is on at £35,000. This role is for a 12 month FTC, with the possibility of going permanent. There will be the occasional need to work weekends.
